This beautifully embroidered silk dressing gown was first spotted in the 1985 television adaptation of Tender is the Night, where Mary Steenburgen wore it as Nichole Warren. It was not seen again until 2008 when Eileen Atkins wore it as Lady Tressilian in the episode of Marple entitled Towards Zero. In 2013 it was worn by Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham in Downton Abbey, and finally, in 2016, it was worn by Lizzy Watts as Nancy when it was recycled for The Durells.
