This beautifully embroidered gown was made for The Madness of King George. This is yet another gown that appears both gold and white due to the colour of embroidery and the lighting used in different productions. The gown was used again in 1999 for Aristocrats, and eventually made its way into a documentary about Einstein, though a the stomacher and petticoat seem to have been replaced. The dress was used again for the television show Doctor Who in an episode entitled The Girl In The Fireplace, and was
used a fifth ]and final time for the BBC’s production of Fanny Hill in 2007. |
