The Tudors
Costume seen on Emma Hamilton as Anne Stanhope
This gown is another great example of just how much detail high definintion cameras can bring out in these beautiful costumes. This gown was most likely made for The Virgin Queen, in 2005 when it was worn on Anne Marie Duff, but was used again in both the second and the third season of The Tudors in 2008 and 2009 on two different actresses - first on Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn and the next year on Sarah Bolger as the Princess Mary, then again the next year on the character Anne Stanhope. The Tudors often uses costumes more than once and on more than one character, but usually they are a bit more careful not to use a dress twice on the main characters!
