The Other Bennet Sister still has not finished airing stateside and Interview with the Vampire is about to start its third season, so here are some relevant costumes for what’s happening on television right now. Always interesting, always beautiful!

I have much on my mind regarding AI. I wanted to do a blog post about it, and may do at some point when I have the energy. Energy is something I am in short supply of, as I was diagnosed with Lyme back in December after two years of horrible fatigue. Everything takes a massive amount of energy now. I am a graphic designer by trade, so I tend to be pretty against AI in general, but there are a couple of instances, when going through thousands of photos, that AI would be helpful, but I am very much on the fence. I’ll expound more when I have the energy to do so.  Gloomy day here, which could probably be keeping my energy low as well.

No updates for the 1st and the 8th as I will be out of town, but I will return with new updates on the 15th. And as always, our social channels are running daily, so you will see (old) costumes there.

Hope you all are well.

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. Good to hear that you at least finally have a diagnosis on what is causing the fatigue. Btw about The Other Bennet Sister, they just dropped that there will be a three part Christmas special. Meanwhile I’m melting away in the current European heat wave. There is still no end in sight. Temperatures above 30°C for this long are not normal here. It also barely cools down since the sun only sets after 10pm but first light already appears again between 3am and 4am with the official sunrise around 5am. About AI, I think a lot of stuff is thrown under that mantle. I personally am against generative AI but I don’t mind an AI that is good at pattern recognition for e.g. cancer findings. AI is supposed to help us with mundane things and not take away our jobs or our creativity, at least in my opinion.

    • I can’t wait to see The Other Bennet Sister Christmas special, I liked the series and the costumes….where I live in Norway it’s a lot of rain and a little sun but rain and only 13-22 degrees, I hope it gets warmer in July to September, have a nice day…

    • Thanks! It’s good to have a diagnosis so that I know I am not crazy, which is how I have felt the past two years telling people I am exhausted and they just kind of shrug.  It’s good to put a name to it .
I just heard about the Christmas special too! I mean, I am happy, but sometimes I think…oh, let’s just leave a good thing alone!
I am sorry for the heat – and I know it’s so much worse as I know not everyone there is equipped with air conditioning the way we are here in the U.S. It gets HOT here, but we have the infrastructure to deal with it.
Agree with you about generative AI. We, of course, use AI daily…it’s the generative stuff that can be an issue. As a creative by trade, it’s very threatening.

  2. Sorry to hear about the Lyme. I’ve been living in fear of those useless ticks since a time I was still laughed out of the dr.’s room for precautionarily asking for treatment options without having actually been bitten. Not that time at least. But taking walks in meadow- or woodlands – or just doing some gardening – has never been as relaxing since. Here’s hoping for a full and timely recovery!
Would love to hear your specific thoughts on ways AI could help image organisation.
Greetings from amidst the 2nd western European heatwave in a (rather early) row. Honestly, not fun!

    • Thank you, yes, it’s been very hard to just be tired alllll the time. But I seem to be getting a bit better, slowly.
I need to do an AI post, which I can combine probably with a post of photos that are “Wanted”  I may do that after I get back from vacation.
      Stay safe through the heatwave!

  3. I am doing well and have around 20 July to 10 August holiday, I cant wait for more period dramas and for Pride and prejudice netflix 2026 this year….
