Ever wanted to own Mr.Darcy’s white shirt from Pride and Prejudice? Or Danielle’s famous gown from Ever After? Kerry Taylor Auctions recently auctioned off several important pieces from Cosprop’s collection, including some very familiar pieces from A Room with a View, Howards End, and quite a few pieces from Downton Abbey. I have not had a chance to look over the prices realized, but it’s worth browsing.
If anyone who follows this site was able to put in a winning bid, we’d love to hear about it, and obviously see more photos once it reaches your hands!
Today we are featuring two costumes from that auction that have been reused over the years – Dougray Scott’s doublet from Ever After, and a beautiful blue and gold gown worn by Sienna Miller in the 2005 film version of Casanova, both films designed by the wonderful Jenny Beavan. You can find more reused costumes by Beavan here.
As always, thank you all for continuing to send in submissions and for being patient with waiting for them to show up on the website.
