Life is a Cabaret, my Friend

September 3, 2025

An iconic costume surprise this week with this purple ensemble from Cabaret.  Check it out!

We also have added another sighting to an older, already documented costume. It’s a great costume, and I am sure it has been in other productions as well, so I am sure we will see it again.

Still working until midnight most evenings, so life is rough until the 25th of September and this particular job ends, so thanks for your patience. I assume I will have an update next week, but in the event you don’t see one sometime this month…again, that’s why. It’s crazy here.

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. It’s so cool to have something from a movie as cult as Cabaret!
I hope you will be able to get some rest after this job, and it’s ok if you can’t update here for a while.

In other news, saw the trailers for Hamnet and Wuthering Heights. There won’t much costume wise in the first one, but I’m very interested in it. I was betting on a contemporary adaptation for Wuthering Heights (or like, 90’s for the first part and nowadays for the second) but nope!

    • Yes! I was really excited to see the costume from Cabaret!
Thank you so much, I appreciate you support.
I am very curious about both movies – WH is my favorite novel ever, so I’ve got some raised eyebrows over the stuff I’ve read.
