Costume Commentary
I’ve been looking for reuses in Bridgerton the past two days and while I found some, I feel a bit fooled by costume designer John Glaser who said in an interview that we would see quite a few of Daphne’s dresses on Sophie. I mean besides her maid outfits, she has five dresses. The one we know belonged to Francesca, the one that was confirmed only to be in Daphne’s style but a new one because they needed multiple ones for filming, her wedding dress, her very unique ball gown and then a blue & golden one in her scene with Eloise. And while the last one looks a bit familiar, it is definitely more reminicent for season 3 than season 1&2 and I also haven’t found it yet on anyone else.
I wonder if maybe she just misspoke, or if it was misreported, or maybe there are scenes that didn’t make it?
