Hello from the past

February 25, 2026

I posted this update several weeks ago. So I guess I am speaking into the future, but coming to you from the past.

A great necklace and a really awesome doublet – both of which I suspect have been used many other times over the years, so please keep your eyes peeled!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

Costume Commentary

  1. I’ve been looking for reuses in Bridgerton the past two days and while I found some, I feel a bit fooled by costume designer John Glaser who said in an interview that we would see quite a few of Daphne’s dresses on Sophie. I mean besides her maid outfits, she has five dresses. The one we know belonged to Francesca, the one that was confirmed only to be in Daphne’s style but a new one because they needed multiple ones for filming, her wedding dress, her very unique ball gown and then a blue & golden one in her scene with Eloise. And while the last one looks a bit familiar, it is definitely more reminicent for season 3 than season 1&2 and I also haven’t found it yet on anyone else.
