As we had our singular, yearly snowstorm this week, my thoughts were in California.
We get snow once, maybe twice a year here, and only for about 24 hours before it all melts away. The week was quiet because nobody goes out and does anything because we’re not prepared for snow the way the northern states are. I’ve spent a lot of time monitoring the fires in California. I lived in Los Angeles for seven years years, and my heart goes out to the community there. If any of my followers live in the area, please stay safe! Praying for you!
Two costumes for you all this week – a really beautifully embroidered Elizabethan costume and a very vibrant blue bonnet. Keep those contributions coming – I promise I look over each of them and work hard to get them up as soon as possible.

We had a lot snow but it was gone after a lot regn and we had lot wind too and still a lot regn still…..so in way we are lucky where i live
That’s good! I am glad you are lucky in weather!
Btw instagram just suggested a post to me which announces that four of the big European costume houses, among them Angels and Theaterkunst, are beginning collaborating closely so cross-border renting will be made easier for productions. I wonder how this will impact us finding reused costumes in more international productions.

This is super cool news, thank you for bringing it to my attention!
Very nice finds. Our snow days act pretty much the same way over here and we had the first one last Thursday. Unfortunately I had to drive quite the distance due to my dad having an appointment for his car at the garage. I hadn’t experienced road conditions this bad in at least 7 years. The next day everything was gone which was kinda insane to witness when you experienced the snow the day before.
Oh my! I am sorry you had to go out in that, but I am glad you are safe!
