The first apparition of this piece, barely visible under a leather vest, was in the 1998 film Elizabeth, where it was worn by Joseph Fiennes as Robert Dudley.
This costume was later used in The Virgin Queen in 2005 on Tom Hardy also playing the role of Robert Dudley.
The piece appeared a third time, finally showing off the great detail and embroidery on both the front and the back in The Tudors‘ episode The Death of a Queen in 2009, where it was worn by Max Brown as Edward Seymour.
