So, Vogue had an incredible fashion show…did you see it?
Thanks to those of you who wrote to me about the Vogue World: Hollywood fashion show. It comprised of fashion inspired by films interspersed with actual movie costumes. You can see more here and here.
I think I plan to make the full fashion show into a blog post, as well as break down the individual costumes into individual costume pages, or update the appropriate pages that already exist, such as the one here today from Dangerous Liaisons…I’ve updated this one in order to post on Social for Halloween, because for whatever reason this dress generally does really, really well on social. Anyway, I will work to get a blog post and individual pages up (slowly).
Hope you all had a great week! I’m looking ahead to the holidays – I am not sure what our posting schedule will look like. I will try to post each week, but there may be one week in November that doesn’t get an update due to Thanksgiving, but as always, I’ll try to avoid that if I can. I’ll know more in a couple of weeks.
Keep sending and uploading those submissions! Love em! Love you all!
Costume Commentary
I tried to search more articles on vogue website, but it’s frustrating how many appear to be incomplete already… (as in the whole article doesn’t appear anymore)
In other news, the yellow coronation gown from Elizabeth (1998) is going on auction in December. Which means… Lots of detailed pictures!

Though there’s no point updating the costume page already, better wait to know whether it will be sold or not.
Oooooh, thank you so much! This gown has made the rounds…so I guess it makes sense its time has come…
Thanks for the heads up. Always inspiring to sift through the catalogue. They even got one of my very favourite costumes in years up… I remember going as far as looking up some seethrough united nude boots to go and recreate it… PS: It seems Peris Costume and cosprop have just merged?

Oh wow! That’s really cool news!
