Weekly News and Updates

Back from October Haitus

November 6, 2024

Well, we’re back and ready to go again! Hope everyone had fun and enjoyed our Halloween themed social media posts!

I very much needed the month off, so thank you all again for your patience with me. Hurricanes and hailstorms and gasleaks…honestly quite a month. Having time to take care of all of that was helpful.

Two really cool new costumes for all of you today – one new sighting from Agatha All Along, as well as an incredible piece from Lost in Space that was seen as late as 2023! Absolutely blew my mind.  I love when that happens.

I don’t have much to report this week, aside from the fact that I am going through all of your submissions and will be continuing to get them up each week, so check back again for new updates soon.

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. So happy you are back. Can’t wait to see what November and December will bring. For me, it will be full of Elisabeth of Austria content since Netflix’ The Empress/Die Kaiserin returns for its second season on November 22nd and Sisi (2021) will start releasing its final season on December 1st with two episodes each week. I’ve found reused costumes on extras in previous seasons, so I’m excited to see whether there will be some again.
