The Little Black Dress

March 25, 2026

Two gorgeous black dresses today, from totally different eras. Both of these came out of nowhere for me. I was browsing a Mad Men thread on reddit when I found two people discussing reused costumes and had found this winner. Then, oddly enough saw promotional info for the 1536 play and thought to myself…I know where that’s from!

I am back to posting regularly and in real time as of last week. Still busy as heck through May, but dedicated to getting updates up and out for all of you to enjoy.

Hope you all are doing well!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. It’s always fun to find unusual sightings like this theater promo one! I went to read about the play and I’m intrigued… Too bad filmed plays streaming is not a bigger thing.
And I hope these Mad Men fans find this site and bring their findings here 😉
