Two Tudor Related Updates

May 1, 2024

A new update from Mary & George, a new show on Starz! and a costume from far older (but awesome) productions, such as Anne of the Thousand Days. I love Anne of the Thousand Days more than I could possibly say. It’s the costume drama responsible for this whole site, ultimately.

If any of you see any other costumes in Mary & George, please let us know, and if anyone knows who may have purchased the lovely costume from Carry On Henry, we’d love to hear from you. Heck, if you’ve purchased any costume that you know has been used more than once, please let us know!

Thank you all for your patience with contributions. I know I have mentioned it before, but several factors play into what gets updated and when.

  • Is the costume from a new production that has just started airing? Sometimes precedence is given to timely costumes.
  • Have I posted something from each contributor? I do my best to take turns, so if you’ve not seen your name pop up in a few weeks, it likely will soon.

I hope to be able to post more than two costumes per week in future, but a lot of consideration is going into how many that would be and how it would be done? Just weekends? One per day? I honestly am not sure, but I know I want to give wider representation to people, because some of you have some incredible stuff that I want to get up on the site. Would I need a moderator to help (I have a real world job and am trying to get two other websites going)?   These are the things that I ponder. This is more information than any of you needed, wanted, or asked for, but hey…you got it anyway! Anyway, just know I want to be fair to everyone and to get all of your content up on the site.

Have a great week, and check back at the same time and place for more costumes next week!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.
