Green costumes for May

May 6, 2026

Some fresh green costumes for May for all of you this week.

I will be taking next week off, so there will be no update. I barely was able to get this one up. However, after May 14th, my big commitment will be over and I will be trying to focus heavily on this website, its social channels, etc, and hope to not have any more interruptions. Sorry to have to take a week off – I feel badly about it, but it’s just nonstop over here. I’ll be so glad when the event is done!

Check back May 20th for more!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. Don’t feel bad about missing a week, you could have missed more and it’d be ok too! I hope the event goes well and that you’ll be able to rest a bit afterwards.

  2. What a hat! I just saw today’s social media post and I’m not 100% certain just yet but I think that the hood Jane Seymour wears in that picture was also worn by Anne Boleyn and Mary Tudor in The Tudors. Judging by a quick search it seems it hasn’t been posted yet but I will go through the accessoires category in its entirety again before I look for more pictures and possibly submit it, if it isn’t already on here.

    • Pretty sure it is in the Tudors yeah! And I think I saw it elsewhere but… It’s just not coming back to me now. It must come from somewhere else though, like most stuff in Henry VIII.
There are still so much to post from The Tudors. I keep wanting to do some deep dive on it and I keep pushing it to later!

      • I checked and they are the same but The Tudors (or a production in between) added to it. I have submitted it for now with Henry VIII and The Tudors (Anne Boleyn and Mary Tudor) but I will keep my eyes open. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also worn by Anne Stanhope or Katherine Brandon since they have worn other pieces that were previously seen on others but are also often forgotten about next to the main characters. I also noticed another headpiece (Black and white) in a deleted scene with the Duchess of Idon’tremember who housed Catherine Howard. I just wanted to check if it is also in the series final cut before I use that low quality scene as a picture source.
