We’ve got something from 2026, or that will ultimately be seen in 2026. It’s a costume we’ve seen many times before! And it makes sense, because it is a beautiful and versatile piece that seems to be very well made, held up well, and looks rather beautiful despite being somewhat neutral.

That coat has really gotten around and still looks good. Props to whatever costume house is taking good care of it. I haven’t really stumbled across anything recently, mostly because I lack a bit of focus at the moment and get bored with any film or series within the first 10 minutes. Definitely more of a me problem than of the productions I pick. Anyhow, I stumbled across a new German movie that is coming to theatres this week called Leibniz – Das verschollene Portrait / Chronicle of a Lost Painting and while the movie seems to not really be my cup of tea judging from the trailer (too pretentiously intellectual for my taste), I saw a costume in one of the screen caps posted by SWR that I think I’ve seen before but I can’t pinpoint it just yet. .jpg)
EDIT: Just had my Eureka moment and I’m pretty sure it is actually another The Great reuse from Season 02, Episode 08. Just need to get a good screencap now and then I can submit it.

I think the night gown underneath it in Leibniz could maybe also be from the same The Great episode but unfortunately that one is so well hidden under the dressing gown that I can’t say it for certain and I’ll have to look at the scenes again in a calm moment, so I can maybe get a few more glances at it.
