Cozy Sweaters and Glitzy Gowns
November 29, 2023
We’ve got modern costumes for all of you today, which for me are always harder to find. I have a tendency to be able to find Georgian costumes the easiest. Do any of you have a particular era that comes more easily to you for finding reused costumes?
I am back from a much needed vacation, but hopefully nobody noticed my absence. I am able to schedule things ahead of time to some degree, which is great. I came home to a lot of submissions, so thank you for those.
On the website progress, obviously I am continuing to add costumes each week, but also chipping away at small quirks of the site – alignment issues and such before we begin to tackle speed. I’m hell bent on using the largest photos possible, mostly because I know photo quality is only going to get better and better. So that adds to the bulk of things, but hoping we can do a few things to get the speed up a bit.
I have not been able to focus on social media as much as I would like, so I hope to do that in the new year. That will take a bit of time. Once I’ve really devoted some time to that I’ll focus on bringing in some new features to the site that do exist, but have not been utilized yet. At some point I need to make website tutorials, more blog posts, as well as get some content on our Youtube channel. Oy.
This is all, of course, in addition to my regular day job, family life, as well as a couple other companies I am trying to get off the ground. Life is busy!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.
Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.
