Think Pink

April 23, 2025

I think more than one of you found this pink gown, but I am only finding one entry for it (thanks James!). If anyone else found this and needs credit, please let me know. Maybe I am just getting it mixed up with all of the costumes we have from A Hazard of Hearts.

A Mad Men costume too.  IMO, the greatest drama ever made. Janie Bryant does great work and if you’ve not read Tom and Lorenzo’s episode recaps (with emphasis on costumes) you’re missing out.

Hope you all are well! Check back next week!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. The grey dress really has different vibes in its appearances.

For me, this has been the week of Still Star-Crossed. Like I never really thought these costumes could be reused and then I found several reuses this week. I love how sometimes things cascada from a drop into a whole stream of reuses. My sleep likes it less but it was totally worth falling down the rabbit hole that was this pile of reused costumes.

    • Yeah, it really does. Two very different shows. It’s lways fun when you think a costume will never appear again ad then you see it. We see one, and then we see five, and then ten and….I suspect they are rented out in groups.

      • My opinion is still if Shondaland had its contract with Netflix already at the time, the show could have done Bridgerton numbers. ABC however truly fucked it over by first airing it during the summer and then secondly with two pretty huge gaps in between. Episode 01 & 02 were still fine, then you had to wait two weeks for Episode 03 and then another two weeks for Episode 04. It seriously felt like they wanted to kill this show so badly with this scheduling.
