We’ve got one!

March 26, 2025

Last week I said we didn’t have anything yet from The Leopard, but ya’ll came through with a reuse this week!  I am sure there are more to be found, so keep an eye out!

Lots more reused costumes to come in the following weeks! Thank you for all of the contributions and submissions. I really appreciate them.

Hope you all are having a great week!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

  1. Oh a reuse from The Young Victoria. That kinda feels rare to me. Also wonderful that there is another reuse of this dress that feels so iconic to the page.

My week unfortunately took an unfortunate turn when my laptop fell from my bed from a position it never had issues with for six years. The harddrive eventually failed a day later and now I’m waiting to see whether my cousin can save the data from it or not or whether I just have to start over fresh with my new SSD that was actually meant for my old laptop. Anyhow I was at least able to save my screenshot folder in time to my external harddrive, so at least that isn’t lost. Anyhow, have you seen that they started filming the new Mozart/Mozart series which focusses on Mozart’s usually forgotten sister?
Can’t wait to see it. Two of the costumes already look insanely familiar to me but without a laptop crossreferencing is nearly impossible but it is definitely on my agenda once I can.

    • I am sorry about your laptop. That totally stinks. But I am glad you were able to save your photos.
I’d LOVE a series on Mozart’s sister! I’d not heard about it, but I am glad to hear they are doing it, as that is something that is a very good idea and could be really fascinating! I am gonna look it up!
