A Busy Girl
April 30, 2025
We have two new sightings this week. No new costumes – sorry. May 15 is a big event I’ve been working on all year, my house is a mess, filled with signs, sign stands, merchandise, paper…just…you get the point. Anyway, I almost didn’t even get an update up, but I really wanted to, so I compromised with myself by adding two new sightings.
But, one of the sightings was found by three of you, so! I mean, that’s pretty impressive!
I’ll do my best to get an update up and running next week!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.
Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.

I honestly love sightings only updates just as much as completely new reuses. They deserve some love too and I enjoy seeing costumes develop their own little stories over time. Especially when they were in storage for a long time but suddenly get used a lot.

I am glad to hear it! I won’t feel like I am shorting you if I do some updates that way! And yes, it is nice to see stuff come out of storage!

Yeah May really is the day of bank holidays. Here we have International workers day on May 1st aka tomorrow, ascension day, which is always on a Thursday, so schools and whoever can also takes off Friday, as well as the Monday after Pentecost, although that is in June this year. Our national holiday is on October 3rd, although May 23rd was the day the Federal Republic was founded but Reunification had a higher significance, so October 3rd it is. May 17th however is my birthday, so I wouldn’t mind to have the day off every year. This year, it is at least on a Saturday as well as the Eurovision Song Contest finale 😀
