I am back in business. My event went well. I still have some cleanup and such to do, but overall my schedule is much more freed up for the summer, so updates should be pretty regular again. Thanks for ya’ll’s understanding.

Costume Commentary
I still want to watch “A Woman of Substance”. Saw some clips on Youtube and it looked interesting.
My plan for the summer is actually quite ambitious: Writing my master thesis and doing my last mandatory teaching internship. The latter is already secured but I still need to find supervisors for the first. American studies is overrun, so my intended supervisor adviced me to go to their British colleagues…who I don’t know. My intended topic is possible in both, so yeah that’s my project for the next weeks.
Right now I’m still in Hungary and enjoying the last days of my 30th birthday holiday. I still feel like 29 and that still felt like 25 which felt like 21 and that was barely any different from 18. Still waiting for the proper adult feeling but I somehow suspekt it will never come and we are all just pretending while staying teenagers without supervision but reponsibilities in our heads
The adult feeling will never come, sorry. May I ask your intended thesis topic?
I intend to look at how modern discourse influences our depiction of historical figures, specifically Fourth Wave Feminism and Mary Stuart in Reign. I actually wanted to look at all the depictions of Mary during the 2010s but the colloquium professor and my fellow students meant it would be too much and I should choose one, so I intend to go with Reign because it covers several years and aired during the height of e.g. #MeToo.
