A Heavy Hitter

July 31, 2024

We’ve got an Elizabethan ruff and a heavy-hitting pelisse this week.  The ruff has proof of use (as in, actual documentation of its reuse, which is always fun), and the pelisse…well, you’ve seen it here before, but we’ve got even more instances of use, including in a video from British Airways.  The video has a lot more costumes, so feel free to document them and upload them and I will get them up on the site.

The Decameron also seems to have gone live this week on Netflix, so be sure to send in anything you may find there reused costume wise.

Come back next week for more!

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.
