Same Actress, Same Costume

March 27, 2024

We’ve got an intentional reuse…this normally happens in the same film, such as a sister wearing a hand me down. But in this instance, it’s intentional in two separate films, which is kind of wild.  Visit the page to find out more – I won’t spoil it for you.

We’ve also got a really great update for an older gown that I really love. I’m sure it’s been used even more times, so if anyone sees it, send it in.

Has anyone watched The Completely Made Up Adventures of Dick Turpin on Apple+? You know, if you’d asked me to cast Dick Turpin I would have said “Oh, Noel Fielding.”  This has only happened to me two other times (Rachel Weisz for My Cousin Rachel and Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games). Anyway, if anyone sees any costumes, please do send them in.

About The AUthor

Katie is the creator of Recycled Movie Costumes, where she’s constantly haunted by the ghosts of costumes past. One day, she had an epiphany: if she had to suffer through these recycled costumes, then so should everyone else! And thus, Recycled Movie Costumes was born.

Contrary to popular belief, Katie does not have a photographic memory, nor does she work in the costume industry. She’s just a girl whose life has slowly spiraled out of control after watching too many costume dramas on Masterpiece Theatre.
