About the Costume

This interesting costume, layered with all kinds of colorful trims, was designed by Ellen Mirojnick to intentionally look garish, as it was worn by Veanne Cox as Calliope – one of Cinderella’s “Ugly” stepsisters – in the 1997 adaptation of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

The costume was seen again the very next year in a Disney Channel promotional for their 1998 made for television movie Halloweentown.
