About the Costume

June Hudson created this armless feathered coat. She was a costume designer for both Doctor Who and Blake’s 7, and recycled her creations several times. The piece made its first appearance in 1978 in Doctor Who, where it was worn by Mary Tamm as Romana, and was used again in 1979 in Blake’s 7 on Jacqueline Pearce as Servalan.
