About the Costume

This hat was first seen on Myriam Emilie François as Margaret Dashwood in the 1995 Sense and Sensibility. It was spotted again most recently in 2019 on Lily Dodsworth-Evans as Cecily Hanson in Poldark. It is very likely that the bonnet has been used several times between Sense and Sensibility and Poldark, as it has undergone some minor changes – a bow has been removed, and the ribbon has been replaced.
