About the Costume

This gold  crown was first seen in Maximilian: Das Spiel von Macht und Liebe in 2017 on Jannis Niewöhner as Maximilian. The crown has various colors of gems, though depending on the lighting, sometimes they appear almost black.

The following year, in 2018, it appeared in Ophelia on Clive Owen as King Claudius.

It was then used in The Witcher on Shaun Dooley as King Foltest in 2019.

Finally, in 2024, it was worn in Rise of the Raven on László Gálffi as the Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund.

  1. Oh my God, how did I not recognize this as the crown from Maximilian when we discussed it in the comments of last week’s update post? It’s so obvious now. However, this makes me wonder whether that dress (https://recycledmoviecostumes.com/costume/ancientmedieval030/) I saw for less than a second might indeed be the silver one already used in Maximilian and The White Princess. I guess we’ll have to wait for the release of more pictures or the series to actually know.  Btw the release of Rise of the Raven is not 2024, unless we count the Festival premiere, but 2025
