It was worn twice in 1998 – first by Janine Duvitski as Mrs. Bute Crawley in Vanity Fair, then on an extra in Les Miserables. It appeared on yet another extra in the 2000 production of The Wyvern Mystery. In 2009 it was seen in Cranford Christmas on Imelda Staunton as Miss Pole. In 2016 it was worn by Chloe Pirrie as Emily Bronte in To Walk Invisible. Most recently, it was spotted on extra in the 2017 Doctor Who episode Thin Ice.
