About the Costume

This pink dress was first spotted in the 1994 third season of The House of Eliott, but because it was worn by an extra, likely, the costume originated elsewhere. In 1998 the dress was worn in the second season of The Grand, where Victoria Scarborough wore it as Ruth Bannerman.

In 2013 it was worn in the fourth season of Downton Abbey by an extra, and in 2018 on another extra in The Chaperone. Most recently in 2020, the costume was spotted being worn by Ann Dowd as Mrs. Van Hopper in Netflix’s remake of Rebecca.
