About the Costume

This blouse and matching skirt is interesting because it was actually worn by the same actress, Jane Frazee, in two different films! In 1947 she wore it in the movie On the Old Spanish Trail as the character Candy Martin, and in 1948 she was spotted wearing it again in Under California Stars in the role of Caroline Bullfincher. While On the Old Spanish Trail was filmed in color, only black and white prints of it still survive, but the true colors of the florals on the costume are evident in Under California Stars.
