This wonderful bathing suit was created for Esther Williams’ portrayal of Rosalind Rennolds in the 1948 film On An Island With You. The unique bathing suit was used again in the 1955 film Hit the Deck when it was worn by an extra. Bonhams described the suit as:

A nude-colored mesh bathing suit decorated with green netting and sequins, and a cluster of sequined strands extending from the left hip.

The piece went up for auction in 2013, where it sold for $3125.
