Gerald Campion originally wore this schoolboy blazer and distinctive checkered pants as Billy Bunter in the 1952 series Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School. The costume was used again in 1966 by Peter Stephens as Cyril in an episode of the long-running British science fiction television show Doctor Who, in the episode entitled The Celestial Toymaker.
