About the Costume

This coat was seen on Michelle Trachtenberg as Georgina Sparks in the 2012 American teen drama Gossip Girl. In that same year, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Bridget Kelly wore it in the television series Ringer. As both shows were from the same studio, there is a good chance that this coat is the exact same one.

Costume Commentary

  1. I don’t think it’s very common at all for two separate tv shows to share wardrobe, even if they’re on the same network. I think it’s more likely the costume designers just bought the same coat, especially considering GG was filmed in NYC and Ringer was filmed in LA. And if they aired in the same week then they likely filmed at the same time, meaning it’s unlikely that the coat would have made it from one production to the other in the allotted time frame.
