About the Costume

This blouse likely isn’t actually recycled. Productions that require more modern-looking clothing are usually purchased rather than made. It is most likely that both costume designers for the television show Firefly and for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind just happened to choose the same top. It was worn in 2002 by Jewel Staite as Kaylee Frye and later in 2004 by Kate Winslet as Clementine Kruczynski.

This piece from Firefly went up for auction at Propstore and eventually sold.
