This beautifully embroidered coat was first seen in the original production of Poldark in 1975, worn by Ralph Bates as George Warleggan. It was spotted again on an extra in 1979 in the miniseries Prince Regent. In 1999 it was used on an extra in The Scarlet Pimpernel and the Kidnapped King. In 2008 it appeared in the November issue of Vogue, where Justin Portman wore it in a photo shoot by Mario Testino.
