About the Costume

Fantastically colorful with spectacular white ruffled sleeves, this gown was worn by Émilie Dequenne as Marianne de Morangias in the 2001 film Le pacte des loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf). Four years later, the gown was spotted in a promotional video for the French musical Le Roi Soleil, where Anne Laure Girbal wore it as Marie Mancini. The gown was then recycled by the 2006 Marie-Antoinette, la Véritable Histoire ( Marie Antoinette, the True Story) where actress Karine Vanasse wore the piece as Marie Antoinette.
