This jacket with matching breeches was first seen in the BBC’s 1977 adaptation of Poldark, where Christopher Biggins wore it as Reverend Osborne Whitworth. 1982’s The Scarlet Pimpernel recycled it on an extra about to be guillotined. It was spotted a third time in 1984 in The Bounty where it was worn by an extra.
