About the Costume

This striped gown was first seen on Carole Richert as Armande in the 1994 film The Night and the Moment.  The film used several gowns from the 1989 film Valmont, and its very likely that this dress originated from that production, though it has yet to be spotted. The costume was used again on Clémentine Poidatz as the Comtesse de Provence in the 2006 production of Marie Antoinette.

  1. I noticed that film on netflix the other day, but was a little apprehensive about watching it because of Dafoe. How was it? (How was he?)
