Thanks!
You are welcome! This dress showed up a lot more times, mostly in book covers. I wonder what will be next
I wonder if the bodice for this dress was based on Eleonora di Toledo’s burial gown which Janet Arnold created a pattern for

I thought the same thing. I would not be the least bit surprised if that is what it was based off of, Sandra. Great catch! Also, I love Janet Arnold! Her work is fantastic.
I found another reused dress from The Tudors on Anne of Cleves. The dress first appeared on The Virgin Queen 2005 on an extra. Poor Anne, she mostly gets her dresses reused. 🙁
Thanks!
Your very welcome 🙂
Guys, look, look! *little jumps of excitement*.
It’s here in a novel by Joanne Harris, “Holy Fools” (2003 – 2004 edition)…
Yay! Back in the game, buddy!
The Kindle edition of Emily Purdy’s “The Fallen Queen” shows the same dress, but… look what they did to it! Ouch!
“The Fallen Queen” – Emily Purdy (also being published as “The Queen’s Rivals” under the name of Brandy Purdy, in September 12 2013)
Dear Lord… A dress from the second Queen to the fourth one…
Well, I just wanted to point that Anne Boleyn’s necklace was previously worn by Sigourney Waver as Queen Isabella I in “1492 – Conquest of Paradise”…
In the covers of “Rivals in the Tudor court”, by Darcey Bonette, and “A tristeza da rainha”, by Suzannah Dunn (this is, “The Queen’s Sorrow”, Portuguese edition)
There are some more pictures of the dress in The Virgin Queen.
