About the Costume

This costume was made for the 1998 production of Elizabeth, though it was seen only briefly on an extra as a lady in waiting. Thankfully, it was used again a couple of years later for David Starkey’s documentary from 2000, Elizabeth: The Acclaimed Saga of England’s Virgin Queen, where the gown was shown in full on Imogen Slaughter as Princess Elizabeth. The costume was seen again on an extra in the 2007 first season of The Tudors.
