About the Costume

This gown was created for the 2003 production Henry VIII, where Assumpta Serna wore it as Katharine of Aragon. Natalie Dormer wore this costume twice as Anne Boleyn in the 2007 first season of The Tudors. It was first worn in the episode True Love, and then embroidery was added to the bodice to give it a different look when it appeared in the episode The Death of Wolsey.

In 2011 the costume was spotted on the cover of a Michelle Diener novel In a Treacherous Court. Most recently, in 2021, it was worn by Rafaëlle Cohen as Anne Boleyn in the second episode of the documentary The Boleyns: A Scandalous Family.
