About the Costume

This lovely gown was first spotted in the 2007 first season of The Tudors, where it was worn by an extra. Though this is the first known instance of this costume, because it is on an extra and fits so poorly, this would indicate that it almost certainly originated elsewhere. The costume was seen again in 2014 on El corazón del océano (The Heart of the Ocean) being worn by Ingrid Rubio as Mencía Calderón. This time the fit seems to be much better. The gown appeared again in 2020 on Sai Bennet as Mary Rose Tudor in the second season of The Spanish Princess.
