Costume Commentary

  1. La reina de España sounds like a movie that could hide some nice costumes with its movie within a movie plot. I think I might need to check whether I can watch this movie somewhere.

      • From what I figured out looking for the movie, it seems to be a sequel of the 90’s movie The Girl of Your Dreams (La niña de tus ojos) and Penelope Cruz plays an actress. In the second movie – aka The Queen of Spain – the movie her character acts in is about Queen Isabel of Castile, hence the more or rather less 14th century costumes. The main setting however is during the Franco regime for both movies.
