Helen Mirren first wore this beautiful black dress as Queen Elizabeth I in the 2005 two-part television series Elizabeth I. The next time the gown appeared was in the 2008 season of The Tudors, where Natalie Dormer wore it as Anne Boleyn. The costume went on to appear in the 2010 film The Princesse de Montpensier, where it was worn by an extra.
