About the Costume

This green gown with an embroidered peacock on the front was designed by Joan Bergen for the 2010 fourth season of Showtime’s The Tudors, where it was worn by Sarah Bolger as Princess Mary Tudor. When production on The Tudors wrapped, Bergen chose to purchase back several pieces she had created, and when she began work on the 2014 film A Little Chaos, she chose to use this gown for Madame Le Notre, played by Helen McCrory.
