This distinctive doublet was first seen being worn by Toby Regbo in a promotional image for Reign in 2013, though the piece is not known to have been worn in the production itself.

The costume eventually found its way into Taylor Swift’s music video for The Fate of Ophelia, where it was worn by Whyley Yoshimura as a pirate. The piece is worn differently, with the ties worn much looser, and red velvet appears to have been added along the bottom of the doublet to give it additional length.
