Joanna Johnston designed this lovely blue Victorian riding habit. She designed costumes for many well-known films such as Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, and Lincoln, for which she was nominated for an Oscar for best costume design.

This costume was created for the 1992 film Far and Away, where Nicole Kidman wore it as Shannon Christie. It was reused in the 1996 television movie The Treasure Seekers for the role of Dora Bastable, played by Camilla Power. Lastly, it was seen in the 2002 television miniseries The Forsyte Saga on Gillian Kearney as June Forsyte.
