About the Costume

This lovely Victorian gown is another example of how different fabrics can appear under different lighting. It was first seen in 2006 on Billie Piper as Sally Lockhart in The Ruby in the Smoke. The dress appears a light purple color, or even a soft brown color. In 2010 it was seen again in An Old Fashioned Christmas, where Jacqueline Bissett wore it as Isabella. In this instance, the dress appears almost blue.
