This beautifully embroidered coat was first spotted in the 1997 film, The Wing of the Dove, where Alison Elliot wore it as Milly Theale. Eleven years later, it was recycled for the 1998 film Coco Chanel, when it appeared as a prop displayed in the window of Paul Poiret’s shop.
