This interesting gown was worn by Ona Munson as Belle Watling in a deleted scene from the 1939 film Gone with the Wind. It was reused again in 1941 in a production for Go West Young Lady on Penny Singleton as Belinda Pendergast, though the costume does not seem to appear in the film itself. In 1942 the gown was worn again by Helen Parrish as Ellen Sanford in the film In Old California.

Both Helen Parrish and Penny Singleton are wearing Scarlett O’Hara’s green bonnet from Gone with the Wind.
